Kevin Farmer

Kevin Farmer earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins University, serving as the Administrative Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Farmer completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Uribe, Hechtman, Zyijac Sports Medicine Institute, as well as his Shoulder and Elbow Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Florida following his time in Coral Gables, FL. Dr. Farmer is currently Sports Medicine Division chief and a team physician for the UF Athletic Association at the University of Florida.

Dr. Farmer’s practice focuses on the treatment of all athletes and athletic injuries such as ACL tears, meniscal tears, knee ligament and tendon tears, elbow UCL tears, Tommy John surgery, bicep and tricep tears, rotator cuff tears, shoulder labral tears, shoulder arthritis, hip labral tears, and Achilles tendon tears. He is currently an active board member for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Southern Orthopaedic Association.

Dr. Farmer has published 14 book chapters and over 90 peer-reviewed publications, as well as the editor of the “In-Season Management of Football Injuries” textbook.
